Product Lead Localisation

We are looking for a Product Lead Localisation

Min Doktor is looking for a Product Lead Localisation that is in control of localization, bridges the gap between content and technology. You will be working closely with language specialists, content producers, engineers, product managers, development teams and external translators and validators. The intention of the assignment is to develop and refine a process that enables close collaboration between content creators, translation and software development teams, to ensure that continuous deploy can be achieved. Driving requirements for globalisation and localisation best practice throughout the product development cycle. You will act as a consultant in development process to ensure localisation is considered early in the development process. As a product lead you report to the Head of Product and peer with other product managers in the team.

What you will be doing (responsibilities)

  • manage localization projects and requirements across internal stakeholders, external vendors and freelancers
  • define and refine the process of globalisation and localisation, with aim for automation
  • train and teams on localisation process
  • identifying internal and external assets that require translation (images, help files etc.)
  • suggest product globalisation improvements
  • lead the software development teams in performing internationalisation and pseudo localisation testing to make sure the software is ready for localisation
  • evaluate and suggest new tools for software globalisation and localisation
  • work from Malmö office

Key requirements

  • strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • experience/knowledge of localisation processes
  • technical background in software development
  • ability to communicate and negotiate with software developers, translators, validators and other key stakeholders
  • knowledge of software localisation tooling and testing
  • take pride in your work and take your commitments seriously
  • speak and write fluent English and Swedish
  • have a passion for cultural differences
  • knowledge of at languages and cultures

Desired experience of the candidate of our dreams

  • experience with processes such as CE, ISO.
  • ability to create macros or other task automations a big plus

Good to know

English is the official language spoken and written at Min Doktor.

Swedish is used when required by regulations.
