This afternoon the founder of Min Doktor, Magnus Nyhlén, was awarded with not only the Startup of the year award but also Founder of the year award, at the Swedish finals of the Nordic Startup Awards. The awards were presented during a ceremony at Stockholm Tech Fest. The jury motivation said:
"A tech startup that has shown the greatest development over the last year based on growth, innovation and impact with a product or service."
— I am very honored to receive these awards. Attention to digitalization of healthcare is important. Healthcare is facing major challenges all over the world and digitalization is part of the solution. We were the first to offer digital medical care in Sweden and have since been working hard to develop this new segment of the healthcare sector. There have been some skeptics, but these prizes confirm once again that my idea was right and that we are on the right track. Digital and accessible medical care is and should be a natural option when choosing healthcare. The fact that we have handled over 130 000 individual cases is proof enough. I’m only a small part of the Min Doktor story. Our patients, investors and my amazing colleagues have all contributed to our success. We are proud to have paved the way for the development of digital healthcare and the future is bright, concludes Magnus Nyhlén.
The Nordic Startups Awards are the latest of many prizes awarded to Min Doktor. Last year, Min Doktor won the Swedish IT-healthcare award, was named the Business Model Challenger of the Year by Cordial and became the Growth Company of the Year at Serendipity's Challenge.
Winning the Swedish award makes Min Doktor and Magnus Nyhlén finalists in the (Nordic edition) Nordic Startup Awards 2017, which will be announced on October 18th in Stockholm.
